Once a year, on the seventh day of the seventh month, the stars align. Tanabata — Japan's beloved star festival — is a night of wishes written on paper strips and tied to swaying bamboo beneath the Milky Way. Chef Billy Kong takes this celestial moment as his muse. A multi-course omakase unfolds as a seasonal tasting menu, each dish a reflection of summer at its most intentional. Ingredients are chosen at their peak — fleeting, luminous, and impossible to rush. Like the festival itself, every course is here for one night only, then gone. Chef Kong's cooking has always carried a sense of wonder, and Tanabata gives it full permission. Make a wish, then let the meal begin.
